Για
να αναζήτησες αυτό το άρθρο σημαίνει ότι σκέφτεσαι ή θα ήθελες να ταξιδέψεις
κάποια στιγμή στην Κολομβία. Θάλασσες, βουνά, ζούγκλα, ζωή, ιστορία,
πολιτισμός, πεντανόστιμη κουζίνα είναι όλα αυτά που χαρακτηρίζουν τη χώρα κα
αποτελούν λόγο για να την επισκεφθείς το συντομότερο.

center Λίγα λόγια για τη χώρα

Είναι
μία χώρα της Λατινικής Αμερικής με πληθυσμό 45 εκ. κατοίκους και πρωτεύουσα την
Μπογκοτά. Συνορεύει με 5 χώρες και το όνομά της προήλθε από τον Χριστόφορο
Κολόμβο, τον Ισπανό κατακτητή. 

Στο
άκουσμά της ο κόσμος τη συνδέει άμεσα με το εμπόριο ναρκωτικών. Για να είμαστε
ειλικρινείς εξαιτίας του πρόσφατου παρελθόντος της το θεωρούμε λογικό κάτι
τέτοιο, αλλά οι 11 μέρες μας εκεί, έρχονται να αναιρέσουν τον τρόμο που έχει
δημιουργηθεί γύρω από τη χώρα και να επιβεβαιώσουν όλους όσους την προτείνουν
(μέσα σε αυτούς και εμείς) ως έναν ΄must΄ ταξιδιωτικό προορισμό!

Είναι
σίγουρο ότι η οργάνωση ενός ταξιδιού είναι ένα από τα σημεία που αρχικά
προβληματίζουν τον καθένα, ειδικά όταν πρόκειται για χώρες εκτός Ευρώπης. Κάθε
χώρα έχει τις δικές τις απαιτήσεις εισόδου που συχνά δεν είναι εύκολο να τις
βρεις συγκεντρωμένες. 

Στο
παρακάτω άρθρο θα βρεις όλα όσα χρειάζεσαι συνολικά πριν από ένα ταξίδι στην Κολομβία.
Αποτελούν χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για κάποιον που ταξιδεύει είτε μόνος του είτε
οργανωμένα.

Είναι
μία από τις πιο πλούσιες χώρες παγκοσμίως σε ορυκτό πλούτο και εδάφη. Αυτό
μπορεί να το διαπιστώσει εύκολα κανείς καθώς παράγει το 80% των σμαραγδιών του
κόσμου ενώ εξάγει τεράστιες ποσότητες χρυσού, πετρελαίου και κάρβουνου. Ακόμη,
το κλίμα της δεν είναι παντού το ίδιο γεγονός που ευνοεί τις καλλιέργειες και
την τεράστια ποικιλία σε χλωρίδα και πανίδα. Έτσι, μία αξιοσημείωτη πηγή εσόδων
για τη χώρα είναι η εξαγωγή διάφορων προϊόντων (διαφορά φρούτα τροπικά και μη
&amp; θαλασσινά).

Η
Κολομβία είναι μία από τις χώρες παραγωγής κακάο παγκοσμίως (το κακάο φυτρώνει
κατά βάση στις τροπικές περιοχές της Αφρικής, της Ασίας και της Κεντρονότιας
Αμερικής) αλλά και η 3η χώρα παγκοσμίως σε παραγωγή καφέ, μετά τη
Βραζιλία και το Βιετνάμ (κατέχει την 1η θέση στην ποικιλία arabica).

Δυστυχώς
όμως, ακόμη και σήμερα, το πιο εξαγώγιμο προϊόν και αυτό που αποφέρει τα
μεγαλύτερα κέρδη στη χώρα είναι το εμπόριο κοκαΐνης, ξεπερνώντας το 2023 ακόμη
και τα έσοδα του πετρελαίου.

&nbsp;Όλα καλά μέχρι στιγμής, αλλά δεν αρκούν για να
μπεις στο αεροπλάνο και να ταξιδέψεις σ αυτή την πανέμορφη χώρα της Λατινικής
Αμερικής. Αφού κλείσεις τα αεροπορικά εισιτήρια για τα οποία θα μιλήσουμε
παρακάτω, πρέπει να συγκεντρώσεις όλα τα απαραίτητα έγγραφα εισόδου στη χώρα.

Από
την ημέρα εισόδου στη χώρα απαραίτητο είναι να έχεις διαβατήριο με
διάρκεια ισχύος τουλάχιστον για 6 μήνες. Ακόμη, όλοι οι ταξιδιώτες με προορισμό
την Κολομβία χρειάζεται να συμπληρώσουν μια φόρμα εισόδου (Migracion Form). Η συμπλήρωση της είναι εύκολη και γίνεται ηλεκτρονικά μέσα
από το επίσημο &nbsp;site (<a href="https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en">https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en</a>) από 72 ώρες μέχρι 1 ώρα πριν το ταξίδι, χωρίς κάποιο
κόστος. Όσον αφορά τη βίζα, για τους Έλληνες, μπορείς να μείνεις στη
χώρα μέχρι 90 μέρες χωρίς να απαιτείται η έκδοση της.

center Ταξιδιωτική
ασφάλεια υγείας

Δεν απαιτείται για
να ταξιδέψεις στη χώρα αλλά συμβουλή μας είναι να κάνεις πάντα ταξιδιωτική
ασφάλεια. Καλύτερα να διαθέσεις μερικά χρήματα και να μην την χρειαστείς ποτέ.
Γιατί αν υπάρξει ανάγκη και δεν έχεις ασφάλεια, τότε στην καλύτερη να πληρώσεις
αρκετά χρήματα για να σε βοηθήσουν αλλά υπάρχει και η χειρότερη περίπτωση που
είναι να σου αρνηθούν την είσοδό σου σε κάποιο νοσοκομείο. Εμείς χρησιμοποιούμε
την img global (<a href="https://www.imglobal.com/">https://www.imglobal.com/</a>) μια ασφάλεια με πολλά προνόμια και αρκετά οικονομική σε
σχέση με τις υπόλοιπες, και είμαστε πάντα ήσυχοι (Δεν αποτελεί κάποιο είδος
διαφήμισης). &nbsp;&nbsp;

Σ’αυτό
το σημείο να μιλήσουμε και για το φαρμακείο ταξιδίου, όπως το αποκαλούμε
εμείς. Είναι σημαντικό να έχεις μαζί σου και κάποια φάρμακα μετά από συνεννόηση
με το γιατρό σου τα οποία μπορεί να χρειαστούν είτε για κάτι απλό (πονοκέφαλος)
είτε για κάτι έκτακτο (διάρροια, εμετός). Ο καθένας γνωρίζει τις ανάγκες του
γι΄αυτό και δεν υπάρχει λόγος να σου προτείνουμε εμείς τι φάρμακα να πάρεις. Στην
περίπτωση του σοβαρού, το οποίο ευχόμαστε να μη συμβεί ποτέ, η ταξιδιωτική
ασφάλεια θα σου λύσει τα χέρια και θα σε γλιτώσει από μεγάλη ταλαιπωρία.

Δεν είναι απαραίτητο να κάνεις κάποιο εμβόλιο για την
είσοδο σου στη χώρα. Συνιστώμενα εμβόλια είναι αυτά που έχει κάνει ο καθένας τα
πρώτα χρόνια της ζωής του (ηπατίτιδα Α&amp; Β, τύφος, τέτανος) ενώ ο κίτρινος
πυρετός συνιστάται μόνο για όσους ταξιδέψουν στη νότια Κολομβία (σύνορα με
Βραζιλία). Όσο αφορά τον covid-19 δεν απαιτείται εμβολιασμός ή τεστ για την

Δεν υπάρχουν απευθείας πτήσεις
από Ελλάδα για Κολομβία όμως υπάρχουν από αρκετές ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις με
προορισμό την πρωτεύουσα Μπογκοτά. Αυτές είναι Μαδρίτη, Βαρκελώνη,
Κωνσταντινούπολη, Παρίσι, Άμστερνταμ, Λονδίνο, Φρανκφούρτη, Ζυρίχη. Εμείς
πετάξαμε από Παναμά για Κολομβία και συγκεκριμένα για Καρταχένα με την εταιρεία
Copa Airlines ενώ τις υπόλοιπες πτήσεις εντός της χώρας τις κάναμε με τις αεροπορικές
εταιρείες Wingo και Avianca.

Σε
αυτό το σημείο να πούμε λίγα πράγματα για την αεροπορική εταιρεία Wingo. Ίσως να μην τη γνωρίζεις, ούτε εμείς την ξέραμε πριν το
ταξίδι. Είναι μία low cost-θυγατρική εταιρεία της Copa airlines που πραγματοποιεί πτήσεις κυρίως στην Κολομβία αλλά και
προς κάποιες γειτονικές χώρες. Είναι μία καινούργια εταιρεία με λειτουργία
μόλις 1 χρόνο, ενώ είχαμε διαβάσει διάφορα σχόλια για αυτή, μερικά από τα οποία
ήταν και αρνητικά. Ψάξαμε αρκετά και μετά από επικοινωνία και προτροπή αρκετών
Κολομβιανών αποφασίσαμε να την δοκιμάσουμε σε τρεις πτήσεις. Πληρώσαμε τα μισά και
λιγότερα χρήματα σε σχέση με πτήσεις της Copa airlines ή της Avianca και μπορούμε να πούμε
ότι την προτείνουμε με σιγουριά ως μία αξιόπιστη low cost εταιρεία.

Στην Κολομβία η επίσημη γλώσσα είναι τα ισπανικά. Πολύ
σπάνια έως καθόλου θα ακούσεις να μιλάνε αγγλικά. Αν δεν ξέρεις τη γλώσσα θα
είναι δύσκολη η συνεννόηση και από τη δύσκολη θέση θα σε βγάλει μόνο το google translate. Το γεγονός ότι μιλάμε ισπανικά μας διευκόλυνε στην
καθημερινότητα και στις μετακινήσεις και μας έκανε να επικοινωνήσουμε και να
καταλάβουμε καλύτερα τη χώρα και τους ανθρώπους της.

Το νόμισμα της χώρας είναι τα Κολομβιανά πέσος (cop)
και η ισοτιμία είναι 1€=4300cop. Συμβουλή μας είναι ότι χρειάζονται και &nbsp;κάρτα και μετρητά. Μπορείς να πληρώσεις σε
πολλά σημεία με κάρτα αλλά σε μικρά μαγαζάκια για φαγητό ή για σουβενίρ θα
χρειαστείς μετρητά. Τράπεζες υπάρχουν σε πολλά σημεία στη χώρα, όχι όμως παντού
ανταλλακτήρια, τα οποία κρατάνε μεγάλη προμήθεια. Όσον αφορά τις αναλήψεις, αν
και διαβάσαμε ότι η BBVA δεν κρατάει προμήθεια, αυτό δεν ισχύει γιατί όλες χρεώνουν
περίπου 4€ επιπλέον ανεξαρτήτως ποσού. Φρόντισε λοιπόν να υπολογίσεις στο
περίπου πόσα χρήματα θα χρειαστείς για να μην κάνεις συνεχώς αναλήψεις. Η κάρτα
που χρησιμοποιούμε εμείς σε όλα μας τα ταξίδια είναι η Revolut. Διάβασε

Όσον αφορά την επικοινωνία θεωρούμε απαραίτητο να
αγοράσεις κάποιο τοπική κάρτα sim. Η υπηρεσία περιαγωγής συνήθως δεν έχει καλή κάλυψη σε
όλα τα σημεία της χώρας ενώ και οι χρεώσεις είναι υπερβολικά μεγάλες. Οι τρεις
κύριες εταιρείες καρτοκινητής είναι η Claro, η Tigo και η Movistar. Εμείς επιλέξαμε την Claro, την οποία βρήκαμε και αγοράσαμε απ΄ ευθείας από ένα mini market στο αεροδρόμιο της
Καρταχένα. Είχε δυνατή κάλυψη σε όλη τη χώρα και το πακέτο που αγοράσαμε περιλάμβανε
30GB + 30GB δώρο για 30 μέρες (38.000cop=9€).

Εδώ να πούμε ότι υπάρχουν αρκετές εταιρίες (Airalo, Maya, Holafly) που σου δίνουν τη δυνατότητα να αγοράσεις ηλεκτρονική
κάρτα sim (e-sim) τις οποίες προτείνουμε να
χρησιμοποιήσεις σε περιπτώσεις έκτακτης ανάγκης. Εμείς τις αποφεύγουμε γιατί τα
πακέτα που προσφέρουν είναι&nbsp; σίγουρα πιο
ακριβά από τις τοπικές sim.

Μπορείς να πάρεις νόμιμα το drone σου στη χώρα αλλά για
να το πετάξεις νόμιμα χρειάζεται να λάβεις άδεια χρήσης σύμφωνα με τη
νομοθεσία. Από όσα διαβάσαμε όμως πριν το ταξίδι και από τη δική μας εμπειρία
το μόνο που θα σου πούμε είναι ότι δε θα χρειαστείς καμία άδεια και να το
πετάξεις όπου επιτρέπεται (όχι κοντά σε αεροδρόμια, στρατιωτικές βάσεις και όλα
αυτά τα μέρη που γενικώς και όχι μόνο στην Κολομβία απαγορεύονται).

center Μεταφορές-Μετακινήσεις

Τέλος,
δεν πρέπει να παραλείψουμε να μιλήσουμε για τις μεταφορές και γενικότερα για τον προγραμματισμό των μετακινήσεων
στη χώρα. Στην Κολομβία η νομοθεσία για τη χρήση uber είναι λίγο περίεργη.
Ενώ έχει απαγορευτεί η χρήση τους, είναι νόμιμη η ενοικίαση αυτοκινήτου μέσω
της εφαρμογής uber. Δηλαδή,
μπορείς να κλείσεις νόμιμα μια μεταφορά από την εφαρμογή και να πληρώσεις το
αντίστοιχο ποσό αλλά αν γίνει έλεγχος οι οδηγοί προσποιούνται ότι μεταφέρουν
φίλους και όχι πελάτες. Και όλο αυτό είναι νόμιμο. Αν μπερδεύτηκες, είναι
λογικό! Εν ολίγοις, σου προτείνουμε να χρησιμοποιείς τις εφαρμογές uber ή/και cabify και να επιλέγεις
μετακινήσεις με ταξί. Εμείς, όπου υπήρχαν διαθέσιμα, χρησιμοποιούσαμε uber (γιατί ήταν πιο
οικονομικό) ενώ στις υπόλοιπες περιοχές ταξί. Για πιο οικονομικές
μετακινήσεις, οι οποίες βέβαια χρειάζονται περισσότερο χρόνο και ιδιαίτερη
προσοχή στα προσωπικά σου αντικείμενα, προτίμησε τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς.

Επίσης,
για τις μετακινήσεις σου από πόλη σε πόλη μπορείς να χρησιμοποιήσεις
αεροπλάνο, αυτοκίνητο, λεωφορείο ή τρένο. Το οδικό δίκτυο και οι γραμμές των
τρένων που δεν είναι αναπτυγμένα σε συνδυασμό με τη μορφολογία του εδάφους (μην
ξεχνάς την οροσειρά των Άνδεων που σε αρκετά σημεία θα χρειαστεί να διασχίσεις)
κάνουν τις μετακινήσεις ιδιαίτερα χρονοβόρες. Προτίμησε τις εσωτερικές πτήσεις
σε τιμές που ξεκινάνε από 40€ για να εξοικονομήσεις χρόνο. Η χώρα διαθέτει 13 διεθνή
αεροδρόμια με τα πιο κύρια να είναι στις πόλεις Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Cali, Armenia, San Andres και Santa Marta.

ασφάλεια και την εγκληματικότητα. Από την&nbsp;
εμπειρία μας σε συμβουλεύουμε να μη διστάσεις να κάνεις το ταξίδι αν το
θέλεις πραγματικά. Ψάξε όσα χρειάζεται, ρώτα μας ότι θέλεις και οργανώσου
αρκετά νωρίς. 

Ένα είναι το σίγουρο, η
Κολομβία είναι μία φανταστική χώρα στην οποία θα περάσεις αξέχαστα!

If
you searched for this article, it means that you are either thinking or you
would like to travel at some point to Colombia. Sea, mountains, jungle, life,
history, culture, delicious cuisine are all those that characterize the country
and constitute reasons to visit it as soon as possible.

It
is a country of Latin America with a population of 45 million people and Bogota
as its capital. It borders with 5 countries and its name originates from
Christopher Columbus, the Spanish conquistador. 

Hearing
the name of Colombia, people link it immediately with drug dealing. To be honest,
due to its recent past, it’s quite fair to consider this, but our 11 days there
came to override the terror that has been created around the country’s name and
confirm the choice of those who recommend it (including us) as a “must” travel
destination!

It
is certain that the trip’s organization is one of those things that are of
concern for everybody, especially when it has to do with countries outside of
Europe. Every country has its own entry requirements that are not always easy
to find altogether in one place. 

In
the article below, you will find all you need overall before a trip to
Colombia. All those are useful information for someone that travels either
alone or group organized.

It
is one of the richest countries worldwide in mineral wealth and lands. This can
easily be understood as it produces 80% of the world’s emeralds while also
exports huge quantities of gold, oil and charcoal. Additionally, its climate is
not the same everywhere, which favors the crops and the large variety of flora
and fauna. Thus, making the export of different products (various fruit –
tropical or not, and seafood) a noteworthy source of income for the country. &nbsp;

Colombia
is one of the cocoa production countries worldwide but also the 3rd
country worldwide in coffee production (cocoa mainly sprouts at the tropical
regions of Africa, Asia and Central-south America), following Brazil and
Vietnam (occupies the 1st place for the Arabica variety).

However,
unfortunately, up until today, the most exportable product and the one that
brings in the biggest profit to the country is the cocaine dealing, even
exceeding the oil’s export income for 2023.

So
far so good, but these are not enough to get you on the plane and travel to
this beautiful Latin-American country. After booking your tickets, for which
we’re going to talk later on, you ‘ll need to gather all the necessary entry
documents for the country. 

It’s
necessary to have a passport with an expiration date at least 6 months
counting from the entrance day. Additionally, all travelers with a destination
to Colombia need to fill in an entrance form (Migracion Form). It is
easy to fill it in and you can do it electronically through the official
website (<a href="https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en">https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en</a>)
from 72 hours to 1 hour before your trip, without any cost. In regard to the visa,
for the Greeks, you can stay in the country up to 90 days without a requirement
of its issuance.

It’s not required in
order to travel to the country but it’s our advice for you to always have a
travel insurance. It’s better to spare some money on that even if you end up
never using it. If you find yourself in an emergency situation and you have no
insurance, the best case scenario is to pay lots of money to have someone
helping you and the worst case scenario is to be denied the admission to a

an insurance with many benefits and quite affordable compared to others, and we
‘re always assured (This is not an advertisement).

At
this point we also need to talk about the travel pharmacy kit, as we use
to call it. It’s important to also have some medicines with you in agreement
with your doctor which might be needed either for something simple (headache)
or something more urgent (diarrhea, vomit). Each one individually knows his/her
own needs and that’s why there is no reason for us to suggest you the type of
medicine you should take with you. In case of an emergency, which we hope that
never happens, the health travel insurance will untie your hands and will get
you out of great hassle.

It’s not necessary to take any vaccine to
enter the country. Vaccines that are recommended are the ones that everybody
has taken during the first years of our life (Hepatitis A &amp; B, Typhus,
Tetanus) while the one of yellow fever is only recommended for those that are
travelling to South Colombia (borders with Brazil). Regarding COVID-19 no
vaccine or test are required for entering the country. You will find detailed

There are no direct flights from
Greece to Colombia but there are many from European cities with the capital,
Bogota, as their destination. These are Madrid, Barcelona, Istanbul, Paris,
Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Zurich. We flew to Colombia through Panama and specifically
to Cartagena with Copa Airlines while for the rest of the flights inside the
country we used Wingo and Avianca airlines.

At
this point we would like to say a few things about Wingo airlines. You
might not know it, as we didn’t either before our trip. It is a low cost –
affiliated company of Copa Airlines that performs flights mostly in Colombia
but also to some neighboring countries. It’s brand-new running for just one year,
and we had read various comments and reviews about it, some of which were also
negative. We searched for it a lot and after communicating and being encouraged
by Colombians we decided to try it taking three flights. We paid half or even less
than half money compared with the flights of Copa Airlines or Avianca and we
can say that we suggest it with certainty as a reliable low-cost airline. 

In Colombia the official language is
Spanish. You will very rarely hear them speaking English or even not at all. If
you don’t speak their language it will be very difficult to communicate and
google translate will give you a solution for that. The fact that we speak Spanish
facilitated our daily activities and our transportations and made us
communicate and understand better the country and its people.

The country’s currency is the Colombian
pesos (cop) and the exchange value is 1€=4300cop. It is our advice that
both card and cash are needed. You can pay by card in many points but in small
stores for food or souvenirs you will need cash. There are banks in many spots
in the country, but not always exchange desks, which withhold a big amount of
commission. In regard to the withdrawals, even though we read that BBVA is not
withholding any commission, this is not true as all banks will charge you with
approximately 4€ regardless the amount. So, be mindful and calculate more or
less the amount of cash you would need so that you don’t have to perform many
withdrawals. The card we have chosen to use in all our trips is Revolut.

In
regard to telecommunications, we suggest that you buy a local sim card.
The roaming service usually doesn’t have a good coverage in all parts of the
country and the charges are extremely high. The three main companies are Claro,
Tigo and Movistar. We chose Claro, which we found and bought directly
from a mini market in Cartagena’s airport. It had very strong coverage throughout
the country and the deal-package we bought included 30GB + 30GB free for 30
days (38.000cop=9€).

We
should also say here that there are some companies (Airalo, Maya, Holafly) that
can provide you with an electronic sim card (e-sim) which we suggest you
to use in case of an emergency. We try to avoid them as the deal-packages that
they offer are certainly more expensive from the local sim card. 

You can legally take your drone in the country
but in order to fly it legally you need to get permission of use according to
legislation. However, as far as we read before our trip and based on our own
experience as well, we can definitely tell you that you will need no permission
and you can fly it wherever it’s permitted (not close to airports, military
bases and all these places that in general – and not only in Colombia – is
prohibited).

Finally,
we shouldn’t miss to talk about transportations and generally, for the
planning of them in the country. In Colombia the legislation for uber use is a
little bit strange. Even though their use has been banned, it is legal to rent
a care through the uber app. This means that you can legally book a transport
from the app and pay the corresponding amount, but if there is a check from the
police, the drivers pretend that they transfer friends and not customers. And

bus or train. The road network and the railways that are not as developed, in
combination with the ground’s morphology (don’t forget the Andes sierra that
you will have to cross at many points) make transportations particularly time-consuming.
Prefer the internal flights with prices that begin from 40€ in order to not
lose time. The country has at its disposal 13 international airports with the
main ones being at the cities of Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Cali, Armenia,
San Andres and Santa Marta.
