Πρόκειται
για μία γερμανική πόλη σε γαλλικά εδάφη, της οποίας η ένταξη στη Γαλλία έγινε
το 1945. Η Κολμάρ θεωρείται η πρωτεύουσα του δρόμου του κρασιού της Αλσατίας,
μιας πολύ γραφικής διαδρομής στη Γαλλία, την οποία δεν πρέπει να παραλείψεις αν
βρεθείς εκεί.

Όταν
μιλάμε για την Κολμάρ μιλάμε για τη ‘Μικρή Βενετία’ της Γαλλίας. Αυτό
που θα συναντήσεις όταν την επισκεφθείς είναι κάτι το μοναδικό. Μικρά πολύχρωμα
σπιτάκια, κανάλια, γραφικοί ναοί, πεντανόστιμη αλσατική κουζίνα και πολύ κρασί
είναι όλα αυτά που την περιγράφουν.

Η
αρχιτεκτονική της μαρτυρά το γεγονός ότι για πολλά χρόνια ήταν γερμανική πόλη.
Τα ξύλινα παραδοσιακά σπίτια όπως αυτά που συναντά κανείς και στα γερμανικά
χωριά ξεχωρίζουν στα μάτια των επισκεπτών της. Αυτό όμως που την κάνει
διαφορετική είναι η γαλλική φινέτσα και το στυλ, τα οποία γίνονται αντιληπτά
τόσο στους κατοίκους της όσο και στην κουζίνα της.

Το
πιο χαρακτηριστικό αξιοθέατο βρίσκεται σε ένα κανάλι του ποταμού Ρήνου και δεν
είναι άλλο από την ξακουστή γέφυρα, τη Μικρή Βενετία ή αλλιώς Petit Venice. Γι’ αυτό και θα ακούσεις να αποκαλούν την Κολμάρ ως Βενετία
της Γαλλίας. Πρόκειται για το πιο καρτ ποστάλ σημείο της πόλης και ένα μέρος που
θα το περπατήσεις πολύ, θα φωτογραφηθείς ακόμη πιο πολύ, θα ψωνίσεις
αναμνηστικά και θα απολαύσεις καλό φαγητό ή καφέ, σε κάποιο από τα μαγαζάκια
που βρίσκονται στα πέριξ.

Και
ενώ συνεχίζεις τις βόλτες σου και χαζεύεις το παραμυθένιο σκηνικό, λες και
είσαι η Αλίκη στη χώρα των θαυμάτων, θα συναντήσεις αρκετά γραφικά κτίρια με
ιδιαίτερη σημασία. Κάποια από αυτά είναι το Maison Adolphe, το παλαιότερο σπίτι στην Κολμάρ που χτίστηκε το 1350
και το Ancienne Douane γνωστό και ως Koïfhus, το παλαιότερο
δημόσιο κτίριο που χτίστηκε το 1480. Έχει χαρακτηριστεί ως ιστορικό μνημείο από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού της
Γαλλίας και είναι ένα οίκημα που λειτουργούσε ως τελωνείο και ως χώρος
συσκέψεων των 10 περιφερειών από τις οποίες αποτελούνταν η Αλσατία.

Ο καθεδρικός ναός του Αγίου Μαρτίνου ή
αλλιώς Saint Martin είναι ένα επιβλητικό ιστορικό μνημείο στην καρδιά της Κολμάρ. Χτίστηκε το
1365 με ψαμμίτη και αξίζει σίγουρα μια επίσκεψη αφού είναι ένα από τα πιο
σημαντικά δείγματα γοτθικής αρχιτεκτονικής στην περιοχή. Πέραν όμως του ναού, Saint Martin ονομάζεται και το ξενοδοχείο που σου προτείνουμε να
μείνεις. Μόλις λίγα μέτρα από το ναό, ίσως εκεί να οφείλεται η κοινή ονομασία, και
δίπλα στην Petit Venice, είναι ένα πολύ γραφικό ξενοδοχείο σε ένα κτίριο του
1361 με άψογη εξυπηρέτηση.

Η
Κολμάρ είναι η γενέτειρα πόλη του August Bartholdi, του γλύπτη του Αγάλματος της Ελευθερίας. Έτσι λοιπόν, κατασκευάστηκε προς τιμήν
του ένα λεπτομερές αντίγραφο
του αγάλματος της Ελευθερίας που βρίσκεται στη Νέα Υόρκη, μικρότερο
όμως σε διαστάσεις. Είναι ελεύθερα προσβάσιμο οποιαδήποτε στιγμή της ημέρας και
βρίσκεται στον κυκλικό κόμβο στην είσοδο της πόλης. Αν λοιπόν, η Αμερική
σου πέφτει λίγο μακριά, μπορείς να θαυμάσεις αυτό της Κολμάρ. Ακόμη, υπάρχει στην πόλη και το Μουσείο
Bartholdi (Musée Bartholdi) με έργα του που αξίζει να επισκεφθείτε.

Ο&nbsp;περίφημος
δρόμος του κρασιού της Αλσατίας&nbsp;(Route des vins d'Alsace)
είναι μια τουριστική διαδρομή που έρχεται στο μυαλό κάθε ταξιδιώτη στο άκουσμα
της πόλης Κολμάρ. Ξεκινάει από το Μαρλενέμ στο βορρά, κοντά στο&nbsp;Στρασβούργο, και περνώντας μέσα από 70
συνολικά παραδοσιακά χωριά και κωμοπόλεις, όπως η Κολμάρ και το Εγκισάιμ,
καταλήγει στο χωριό Tαν
που βρίσκεται λίγο έξω από την Μυλούζη. Όλη η διαδρομή έχει μήκος 170χλμ και θα
συναντήσεις τεράστιες εκτάσεις με αμπελώνες κάνοντας αξέχαστη την εμπειρία.
Πως μπορείς να το ζήσεις όλο αυτό; Είτε κάνοντας κάποιο tour από χωριό σε χωριό,
είτε πιο απλά νοικιάζοντας ένα ποδήλατο από την Κολμάρ και κάνοντας μία όμορφη ποδηλατοβόλτα. Δίπλα από το σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό υπάρχει η εταιρεία Velodocteur. Εκεί μπορείς να νοικιάσεις ποδήλατο και με την
καθοδήγηση τους μπορείς να διαλέξεις μία από τις 2 πιθανές διαδρομές που θα σου
προτείνουν. Η μαγεία των αλσατικών αμπελώνων-η περιοχή φημίζεται για την λευκή
ποικιλία κρασιού Riesling-αλλά και τα διάφορα γραφικά χωριά της περιοχής είναι
σίγουρα κάτι που θα σου μείνει αξέχαστο. Ενδεικτικά, μπορείς να περάσεις από το
Κάιζερμπεργκ, το Εγκισάιμ, το Ρικβίρ, το Ριμπωβιλέ, το Κάισερμπεργκ, το Τυρκχάιμ και άλλα
πολλά.

Φυσικά,
δε θα φύγεις από την Κολμάρ χωρίς να έχεις δοκιμάσει την Αλσατική κουζίνα.
Μια κουζίνα που έχει ως κύρια συστατικά το τοπικό τυρί Munster και το κρέας, αλλά φημίζεται και για τα σαλιγκάρια. Το
τυρί munster θα
το βρεις σχεδόν σε όλα τα πιάτα. Έχει μια έντονη, βαριά και λιπαρή γεύση που
μπορούμε να πούμε ότι είναι λίγο κουραστική αν τη γευτείς αρκετές φορές. Παρόλα
αυτά, συνδυάζεται τέλεια με τα κρέατα και φυσικά με το κρασί.
Παρακάτω σου προτείνουμε όσα μαγαζιά προλάβαμε και δοκιμάσαμε εμείς στα
οποία μπορείς να έχεις μια πολύ ωραία γευστική εμπειρία από την Αλσατική
κουζίνα.

·&nbsp; &nbsp; Wistub e la Petite Venice: Βρίσκεται δίπλα στη γέφυρα Petite Venice. Δοκίμασε άφοβα τα πεντανόστιμα σαλιγκάρια (έχουν έντονο
το σκόρδο) όπως και τις πατάτες, οι οποίες είναι μαγειρεμένες με τον δικό τους τρόπο.
Επίσης μην παραλείψεις να πιείς ένα τοπικό κρασί.

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;La Soi και&nbsp;La stub: Τα καλύτερα μαγαζιά για να δοκιμάσεις ένα ακόμη τοπικό
φαγητό που είναι η γαλλική εκδοχή της πίτσας, η λεγόμενη tarte flambee. Αποτελείται από λεπτή τραγανή ζύμη με κρεμμύδια, τυρί
και μπέικον. Αυτή είναι η αυθεντική tarte flambee. Φυσικά και θα τη βρεις σε πολλές αλμυρές και γλυκιές παραλλαγές.

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Au croissant dore: Και επειδή βρισκόμαστε στη Γαλλία, δε γίνεται να μη
γευτείς τα γαλλικά κρουασάν και τα γλυκά. Αυτό το petit καφέ βρίσκεται δίπλα στο ναό του Αγίου Μαρτίνου. Θα σε
υποδεχτεί μια πολύ ευγενική και χαμογελαστή κυρία, η ιδιοκτήτρια. Μπορεί να μην
μιλάει αγγλικά, κάνοντας λίγο δύσκολη την επικοινωνία αν δε μιλάς γαλλικά, αλλά
τα γλυκά που θα φας είναι τόσο φρέσκα και νόστιμα που φεύγοντας θα πεις…oh la la!

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Οινοποιείο Karcher: Μια μεγάλη ποικιλία κρασιών σε περιμένει να τη
δοκιμάσεις. Αν είσαι λάτρης του κρασιού, τότε μπορείς να κάνεις οινογνωσία αλλά
και να αγοράσεις κάποιο από τα μοναδικά κρασιά της Αλσατίας. Μπορεί οι τιμές να
είναι λίγο τσιμπημένες αλλά μην ξεχνάς πως είσαι στην πηγή των αμπελιών, κρίμα
να φύγεις με άδεια χέρια.

Κλείνοντας η αίσθηση που
σου δίνει η Κολμάρ είναι ότι πρόκειται για μία πόλη στην οποία θα περάσεις σίγουρα
καλά. Αν και οι δύο μέρες που μείναμε δεν ήταν πολλές, ήταν αρκετές για να
φύγουμε από εκεί με τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις, θέλοντας κάποια στιγμή να
επιστρέψουμε. Εις το επανιδείν λοιπόν για μια πόλη που έχει να σου προσφέρει πολλές
όμορφες εικόνες, καλό και νόστιμο φαγητό, ποιοτικά ντόπια κρασιά και φυσικά ένα
ονειρικό roadtrip στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του δρόμου του κρασιού και της Αλσατίας.

Colmar
is a German city in the French territories, the integration of which, together
with the entire Alsace, happened in 1945. Colmar is considered to be the
capital of the road of wine in Alsace, a very picturesque route in France which
you shouldn’t miss if you find yourself there.

When
we talk about Colmar, we talk about the ‘Little Venice’ of France. What
you will see there when you ‘ll visit it, is something absolutely unique. Small
colorful houses, canals, graphical temples, delicious Alsatian cuisine and a
lot of wine are all these things that describe it.

The
city’s architecture evinces the fact that for many years it was a German city.
The wooden traditional houses like the ones that you can also see in German
villages, stand out in the visitors’ eyes. However, what makes it different is
the French finesse and the style, which can be perceptible both at the
habitants and its cuisine.

The
most typical attraction is located at a canal of the Rhine’s river and it is no
other than the well-known bridge, the Little Venice or else said Petite
Venice. That’s why you’ll also hear people refer to Colmar as Venice of
France. It is about the most “card-postal” spot of the town and a place where
you will walk not only once, you will photoshoot yourself a lot, you will buy
souvenirs and you ‘ll enjoy good food or coffee, in one of the places which are
located at the purlieu.

While
you continue strolling around and gazing the fairytale style as if you are
Alice in Wonderland, you will come across with quite an amount of picturesque
buildings with particular importance. Some of them are Maison Adolphe,
the oldest house in Colmar which was built in 1350 and the Ancienne Douane also known as Koïfhus, the
oldest public building which was built in 1480. It has been characterized as
historical monument by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of France and it is a
dwelling that has been used as customs and as meeting room for the 10 provinces
that Alsace is composed of.

The cathedral of Saint Martin is an
imposing historical monument in the heart of Colmar. It was built in 1365 with
sandstone (wacke) and it is definitely worth visiting as it is one of the most
important examples of the gothic architecture in the region. Apart from the
temple, Saint Martin is also the name of the hotel that we recommend you to
stay at. &nbsp;Only a few meters away from the
cathedral, maybe this is where the name comes from, and next to Petite Venice,
it is a very graphical hotel in a building of 1361 with excellent service.

Colmar is the hometown of August Bartholdi,
the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty. So, in his honor, a detailed copy of
the Statue of Liberty which is located in New York was constructed,
although smaller in size. It is freely accessible at any time of the day and it
is located at the roundabout at the town’s entrance. If so, United States are a
little far for you, you can admire the one of Colmar’s. Moreover, Bartholdi
Museum (Musée Bartholdi) also exists in town with sculptures of
Bartholdi which is worth visiting.

The famous road of
wine of Alsace (Routes des vins d’Alsace) is a touristic route that
comes in every visitor’s mind when hearing the name of Colmar. It begins from Marlenheim
in the north, close to Strasbourg, and by passing through 70 traditional
villages and small towns in total, like Colmar and Eguisheim, it ends up at the
Thann village. It is a route of 170km distance and you
will come across with huge fields of vineyards making your experience an
unforgettable memory. How can you experience this? Either by having a tour from
village to village, or in a simpler way by renting a bike from Colmar and
having a beautiful bike tour. Next to the train station there is a company
called Velodocteur. You can rent a bike from there and by using their guidance
you can choose one of the 2 possible routes that they will recommend you. The
magic of the Alsatian vineyards – the region is well known for the white variety
of Riesling wine – &nbsp;but also the various
picturesque villages of the region is definitely something you won’t be able to
forget easily. Indicatively, you can pass by Kayserberg, Eguisheim, Riquewihr,
Ribeauvillé and many more.

Of
course, you cannot leave Colmar without trying the Alsatian cuisine.
A cuisine that includes as main elements the local cheese called Munster
and the meat, but it is also famous for the snails. You will find the Munster
cheese in almost each plate that you’ll taste. It has an intense, heavy and
fatty taste which we can also say that it is a little bit tiring if you taste
it many times. Nevertheless, it is combined perfectly with different types of
meat and of course, with wine. Below, we recommend you the places that we had
the time to visit and tasted in which you can have a very nice gustatory
experience from Alsatian cuisine.

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Wistub
e la Petite Venice: It is located next to
Petite Venice bridge. Try the delicious snails without fear (they have intense
garlic flavor) as well as the potatoes, which are cooked in their own way.
Also, don’t miss to drink a local wine.

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;La
Soi and La stub: The best places to try
one more local dish which is the French version of pizza, the so called tarte
flambeé. It consists of
thin crusty dough with onions, cheese and bacon. This is the authentic tarte flambeé. You will of course find it in
many salty and sweet variants.

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Au croissant dore:
As we are in France, it can’t be that you may not taste the French croissants
and desserts. This petit café is located next to Saint Martin’s temple. You will be
welcomed by a very kind and smiley lady, the owner of the place. She might not
speak English, making communication a little bit difficult, but the desserts
that you will taste are so fresh and delicious that will make you say “Oh là là!” at the end!

·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Karcher winery:
A huge variety of wine is waiting for you to try it. If you are a wine lover,
then you can do wine tasting but also buy one of the unique wines of Alsace.
The prices might be a little bit pricey, but don’t forget that you are in the
source of vines, it is a pity to leave the place empty-handed.

In conclusion, the
sensation that Colmar is giving you is that it is about a town in which you ‘ll
definitely spend some good time. Even though, 2 days to spend there were not
that many, they were enough to make us leave the place with the best of the
impressions. So, au revoir, to a city that can offer you many beautiful images,
good and tasty food, quality local wines and of course, a majestic road trip in
the broader area of the Road of wine of Alsace.

Colmar: A fairytale city between France and Germany

αποφασίσαμε να πάμε στο Παρίσι για 5 μέρες. Να ταξιδέψουμε σε μία ευρωπαϊκή
πρωτεύουσα που σχεδόν όλοι μας θέλουμε να επισκεφθούμε κάποια στιγμή. Παρίσι, η
πόλη του φωτός άλλωστε, και όχι άδικα. Κάθε χρόνο εκατομμύρια τουρίστες το επισκέπτονται
και θαυμάζουν το μαγικό Πύργο του Άιφελ, την Disneyland,&nbsp;τον ποταμό Σηκουάνα, το
Λούβρο και πολλά άλλα μουσεία του. Απολαμβάνουν τα καλύτερα γλυκά σε μία πόλη που
καθώς ο ήλιος δύει τα φώτα της, θα λέγαμε, τη μετατρέπουν στην πιο ρομαντική
της Ευρώπης.

Και τώρα έρχεται το
μεγάλο ερώτημα και η απορία πολλών: 

Τι και Που να φάω στο
Παρίσι;

Εδώ να πούμε ότι η
Γαλλική κουζίνα είναι αρκετά λιπαρή έχοντας ως κύρια συστατικά το βούτυρο και
την κρέμα γάλακτος σχεδόν σε όλα τα πιάτα. Οι γαλλικές σπεσιαλιτέ είναι η
κρεμμυδόσουπα, το ταρτάρ, διάφορες αλμυρές κις (τάρτες), και πολλά από τα
γνωστά γλυκά όπως κρουασάν και εκλέρ. Πρόσθεσε σε όλα αυτά τα πολλά είδη τυριών
και κρασιών που παράγονται στη Γαλλία και τότε θα καταλάβεις τι εστί γαλλική
κουζίνα.

Μην ξεχνάς ότι το μιλφέιγ
και η μπαγκέτα είναι γαλλικές δημιουργίες.

Κατά την αναζήτηση μας
συναντήσαμε πολλές αμφιλεγόμενες απόψεις όσον αφορά το φαγητό. Άλλοι υποστηρίζουν
τη νοστιμιά της γαλλικής κουζίνας με τα πολλά αστέρια μισελέν, άλλοι ότι
πρόκειται για μια κουζίνα ακριβή χωρίς ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον, ενώ άλλοι δεν μπαίνουν
καν στον κόπο να δοκιμάσουν. Η μόνη σύμφωνη γνώμη όλων είναι ότι στο Παρίσι θα φας
τα καλύτερα γλυκά και την πιο παραδοσιακή μπαγκέτα.

Αποφασίσαμε λοιπόν, να
γράψουμε ένα άρθρο με όλα τα μαγαζιά που βρήκαμε και δοκιμάσαμε για να σε
απαλλάξουμε από αυτήν τη δίχως τέλος αναζήτηση για το συγκεκριμένο θέμα.
Πίστεψε μας, το Παρίσι έχει άπειρα μαγαζιά αλλά και άπειρους τουρίστες, οπότε
το να πέσεις σε κάποιο τουριστικό μαγαζί χωρίς ποιότητα δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα δύσκολο.

Ξεκινώντας θα αναλύσουμε
και θα προτείνουμε όσα μαγαζιά προλάβαμε να δοκιμάσουμε εμείς μέσα σε πέντε
μέρες και από τα οποία μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημένοι.

Café de La Paix: Το
παραδοσιακό αυτό γαλλικό καφέ είναι ένα από τα πιο όμορφα και τα πιο
μεγαλοπρεπή σε όλο το Παρίσι. Χτίστηκε το 1862 και έχει αναγνωριστεί ως
ιστορικό κτίριο από την Γαλλική κυβέρνηση. Ένα καφέ που λειτουργεί και σαν
εστιατόριο σερβίροντας τόσο γλυκές όσο και αλμυρές επιλογές. Μπορεί να είναι
ακριβό αλλά σίγουρα αξίζει την επίσκεψη σου τόσο για το πεντανόστιμο μιλφέιγ
του (το καλύτερο που έχουμε φάει ποτέ) όσο και για την γαλλική αρχιτεκτονική που
θα αντικρίσεις στο εσωτερικό του. Βρίσκεται απέναντι από την Όπερα του
Παρισιού, οπότε μπορείς να απολαύσεις μια σοκολάτα με σαντιγύ πριν ή μετά την
επίσκεψη σου σε αυτή.

Season:
Ένα σύγχρονο μαγαζί που ξεχωρίζει για τις πολλές και διαφορετικές επιλογές σε
καφέ και ροφήματα πέρα από τα συνηθισμένα. Ιδανική επιλογή αν θέλεις να
απολαύσεις ένα ωραίο brunch
στην
Μονμάρτη.

Kozy Paris: Βρίσκεται στη λατινική
συνοικία πίσω από την Παναγία των Παρισίων. Ένα urban καφέ
με πολύ καλές τιμές και πολλές επιλογές για καφέ και πρωινό.

Café Inform: Είναι
κοντά στην στάση του λεωφορείου που ξεκινά για το αεροδρόμιο Beauvais. Ένα cozy, μικρό μαγαζάκι με πολλές επιλογές
για πρωινό και υπέροχα φρέσκα συνοδευτικά γλυκάκια με τον καφέ.

Café de l’ Olympia: Ένα
κλασσικό γωνιακό γαλλικό καφέ-εστιατόριο. Μπορεί οι κριτικές στο&nbsp; Google να μην είναι πολύ καλές,
παρ’ όλα αυτά εμείς σταματήσαμε για ένα γρήγορο καφέ με τη συνοδεία μια
γαλλικής κρέπας γιατί υπήρχε αρκετή κίνηση κυρίως από Γάλλους. Ήταν η πρώτη μας
γευστική δοκιμή στο Παρίσι και ήταν αρκετά καλή χωρίς να είναι ακριβό. Το
προτείνουμε γιατί σ’ ένα μέρος σαν το Παρίσι που είναι τεράστιο μπορεί να μη σε
βγάλει ο δρόμος στα μαγαζιά που έχεις ξεχωρίσει.

L’ Abreuvoir: Ένα
εστιατόριο που το προτιμούν κυρίως Γάλλοι και φοιτητές και βρίσκεται κοντά στον
Πύργο του Άιφελ χωρίς να είναι τουριστικό. Μας το πρότεινε άτομο που ζει στο
Παρίσι και μπορούμε να πούμε ότι μας ενθουσίασε. Πολύ προσεγμένος χώρος με πολύ
νόστιμα πιάτα σε λογικές τιμές. Προτείνουμε να δοκιμάσεις σίγουρα τη γαλλική
μπριζόλα και ό,τι άλλο θέλεις αφού όλα τα πιάτα είναι γαλλικής κουζίνας.

Constantia Martyrs: Ένα
αυθεντικό ιταλικό στην καρδιά της Μονμάρτης στο οποίο θα λέγαμε ότι δοκιμάσαμε
μία από τις καλύτερες πίτσες. Δεν περιμέναμε σε καμία περίπτωση να φάμε τόσο
σωστή πίτσα σε ξυλόφουρνο στο Παρίσι και όχι σε κάποια ιταλική πόλη. Το
ανακαλύψαμε τυχαία καθώς περπατούσαμε και το προτείνουμε εγγυημένα. Μην
ξεχάσεις να συνοδέψεις την πίτσα με ένα ποτήρι γαλλικό ή ιταλικό κρασί. Έχεις
επιλογή και για τα δύο.

La&nbsp;Pause Libanaise: Σε
μια χώρα με πολλούς μετανάστες Άραβες όπως η Γαλλία έχεις την επιλογή για
πολλές και διαφορετικές κουζίνες. Μία από αυτές είναι και η λιβανέζικη. Το La Pause Libanaise είναι το τέλειο μέρος για
να γευτείς αυτή την κουζίνα. Μας έβγαλε ο δρόμος τυχαία αφού πήραμε λάθος
λεωφορείο και δοκιμάσαμε πολύ νόστιμα πιάτα σε πολύ καλές τιμές. Ο ιδιοκτήτης
και το προσωπικό ήταν όλοι λιβανέζοι, γεγονός που διευκόλυνε την παραγγελία μας

It: Στην
περιοχή La
Defense,
το σύγχρονο όπως το αποκαλούν οι Γάλλοι Παρίσι, θα βρεις ένα all-day ιταλικό.
Πρόκειται για την πανεπιστημιούπολη του Παρισιού, γι’ αυτό και θα δεις να το
προτιμούν τόσο οι φοιτητές όσο και οι καθηγητές. Ένα αρκετά νόστιμο και
οικονομικό μαγαζί, που αν και δε θυμίζει κάποια παραδοσιακή trattoria, σου προτείνουμε να το
επισκεφθείς αν βρεθείς στην περιοχή.

Galleries Lafayette Le Gourmet: Τώρα θα σου δώσουμε ένα
tip το
οποίο λίγοι ξέρουν. Και για να μην το παίζουμε έξυπνοι και εμείς το ανακαλύψαμε
τυχαία. Βγαίνοντας από το διάσημο πολυκατάστημα Galleries Lafayette ακριβώς
απέναντι στη γωνία θα βρεις αυτό το σημείο που μοιάζει με εμπορικό κατάστημα
αλλά είναι σαν μία αγορά τροφίμων. Εκεί θα βρεις μαγαζιά, το ένα δίπλα στο
άλλο, με διάφορες γεύσεις, αλμυρές κα γλυκές, της γαλλικής κουζίνας. Οι τιμές
δεν είναι απαγορευτικές και η ποικιλία είναι τεράστια. Δοκίμασε ό,τι σου πάει η
όρεξη!

Le 17.45 Pigalle:&nbsp; Ένα wine bar με
πολλές γαλλικές επιλογές τόσο σε κρασί όσο και σε αλλαντικά και τυριά. Μας το
πρότεινε ντόπιος και ενώ πρόκειται για αλυσίδα με μαγαζιά στην πόλη, είναι πολύ
ποιοτικό. Όπως υποδηλώνει και το όνομά του θα βρεις μια τίμια ποικιλία που
προτείνουν οι ίδιοι και κοστίζει 17,45€. Θα λέγαμε ότι είναι μια ΄must΄ επιλογή για όποιον βρεθεί στο
Παρίσι και του αρέσει η όλη εμπειρία.

Ma Cave Fleury: Γίνεται
να είσαι στο Παρίσι και να μην δοκιμάσεις την αυθεντική γαλλική σαμπάνια; Η
απάντηση είναι όχι από εμάς, γι' αυτό και σου προτείνουμε αυτό το υπέροχο
κελάρι με δικές του σαμπάνιες και όχι μόνο. Είναι ένα μέρος που μας ενθουσίασε
από όταν το ανακαλύψαμε στο Google
και
επιβεβαιώθηκε η αξία του με τη δοκιμή μας. Θα βρεις σαμπάνιες για όλα τα γούστα
σε τιμές πολύ προσιτές για κάτι τόσο τοπικό.

Laduree: Μετά
από πολύ ψάξιμο καταλήξαμε στο πιο παλιό και πιο δημοφιλές ζαχαροπλαστείο του
Παρισιού για να δοκιμάσουμε τα macarons,
τα οποία ξεκίνησαν &nbsp;να
φτιάχνονται σε αυτό το μέρος το 1862. Αν και δεν είμαστε λάτρεις του
συγκεκριμένου γλυκού, φυσικά και δοκιμάσαμε. Ο τρόπος παρασκευής τους είναι
διαφορετικός από αυτόν που έχουμε συνηθίσει και μπορείς να τα βρεις σε πάρα
πολλές γεύσεις. Δεν ήταν κάτι που μας ξετρέλανε, όχι γιατί δεν ήταν νόστιμα,
αλλά γιατί όλα είναι θέμα γούστου.

Saveurs &amp; Gourmandises: Είναι
ο φούρνος της γειτονιάς που μέναμε. Δοκιμάσαμε τόσα πολλά και παραδοσιακά
γλυκά, αλμυρά και μπαγκέτες κάθε μέρα που δε γίνεται να μην τον προτείνουμε.
Μέναμε στην περιοχή Κασάν, 7χλμ έξω από το Παρίσι και τον επισκεπτόμασταν κάθε
πρωί πριν επιβιβαστούμε στο τρένο. Αυτό που προτείνουμε στην προκειμένη δεν
είναι το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί, το οποίο ήταν πάρα πολύ καλό,&nbsp; &nbsp;αλλά
το να ψάξεις πιο παραδοσιακούς φούρνους για να δοκιμάσεις όλα όσα θέλεις. Έτσι,
θα δοκιμάσεις πολλά γαλλικά φουρνιστά εδέσματα και γλυκά, πάντα φρέσκα και σε
πιο οικονομικές τιμές από τα καφέ.

Σ΄αυτό το σημείο να πούμε
ότι η γαλλική μπαγκέτα, η κρέπα με Nutella και το φρέσκο τραγανό
κρουασάν πρέπει να είναι το καθημερινό σου πρωινό. Σκέψου ότι δε θα έχεις
πολλές μέρες στη διάθεση σου να απολαύσεις όλα τα παραπάνω φτιαγμένα όπως μόνο
οι Γάλλοι ξέρουν. Δεν θα κάνεις διατροφή στο Παρίσι, ξεκίνα από Δευτέρα.

Κι επειδή η αναζήτηση που
κάναμε όσον αφορά το φαγητό και τον καφέ ήταν πολλή μεγάλη πριν το ταξίδι,
παρακάτω θα σου προτείνουμε κάποια επιπλέον μαγαζιά που εμείς ξεχωρίσαμε και θα
δοκιμάζαμε αν είχαμε το χρόνο.

Όπως κατάλαβες το Παρίσι
είναι ένας γαστρονομικός παράδεισος. Το μόνο που σου προτείνουμε είναι να
χαλαρώσεις και να αφεθείς στις γεύσεις του χωρίς να ακούς αυτούς που λένε ότι
στο Παρίσι δε θα φας καλά. Πολλά και διαφορετικά μαγαζιά για όλα τα γούστα και
τις τσέπες σε περιμένουν να τα δοκιμάσεις. Είναι τόσα πολλά που τελικά ίσως να
χρειαστεί να επιλέξεις σε ποια θέλεις να πας. Τα υπόλοιπα άφησέ τα για την
επόμενη φορά που σίγουρα θα υπάρξει!

In January 2023 we decided to go to Paris for 5 days.
To travel in European capital that almost everyone wants to visit at some point
of our life. Paris, the city of light after all, fairly characterized as this.
Every year it is visited by millions of tourists and admire the magic Eiffel
Tower, Disneyland, Seine river, Musée du Louvre and many other museums. They enjoy the best
desserts in a city where, while the sun sets its lights, we would say, they
convert it to the most romantic one of Europe.

And
now comes the big question and the query of many:

We have to comment here that French cuisine is quite a
fatty one containing butter and heavy cream as main ingredients in almost all
dishes. The French specialties include the onion soup, tartar, various savory
tarts (quiche), and many other famous desserts such as croissants, eclair. You should
add in all these the big variety of cheese types and wines that are produced in
France, and only then you’ll understand what the French cuisine is about.

Don’t forget that the millefeuille and the baguette
are French creations.

During our search we came across with many
controversial opinions in regard to food. Some people support the tastiness of
French cuisine with bunch of Michelin stars, others refer to it as an expensive
cuisine without any particular interest, while other don’t even attempt to
taste it. However, all come to the agreement that in Paris you will eat the
best desserts and the most traditional baguette.

That’s why we decided to write this article with all
the places we found and tried to release you from this never ending research on
this topic. Trust us, Paris has infinite places but also infinite tourists, so
it’s an easy incident to bump across a place with no quality.

To begin, we will analyze and suggest as many places as
we had the time to visit during our 5 days by which we were very satisfied
after our visit there. 

Café de La Paix: This traditional French café is one of the most
beautiful and magnificent in entire Paris. It was built in 1862 and has been
recognized as a historical building by the French government. A café that is also
running as a restaurant serving both sweet and savory choices. It might be expensive
but it’s definitely worth your visit as much for the delicious millefeuille
(the best we have ever eaten) as for the French architecture that you will see
in the interior. It is located in the opposite of the Opera house of Paris, so
you can enjoy a chocolate with whipped cream (chantilly) on top before or after
your visit there.

Season: A modern place that differs among the others for its many
and various choices in coffee and drinks, apart from the usual ones. It’s an
ideal choice if you want to enjoy a nice brunch in Montmartre.

Kozy Paris: It is located in the Latin district behind the
Notre-Dame de Paris. An urban café with very good prices and many choices for
coffee and breakfast.

<a>Café</a> Inform: It’s close to the stop that the bus for Beauvais
airport begins from. A cozy, small place with many choices for breakfast and
wonderful fresh desserts to accompany your coffee.

Café de l’ Olympia: A classic angular French café-restaurant. It might be
that the reviews in Google are not that good, but we stopped for a quick coffee
anyway with the accompaniment of a French crepe as we saw quite a lot of
activity around it especially from the French. It was our first taste trial in
Paris and it was quite good without being too expensive. We recommend it because
in a place like Paris, which is huge, you might not cross paths with places
that you have already distinguished.

L’ Abreuvoir: A restaurant that is mostly preferred by French and
students and is located close to Eiffel Tower, without it being touristic. It
was recommend by someone who lives in Paris and we could say that we were quite
impressed. Very neat place with very delicious dishes in normal prices. We
recommend you to try the French steak and anything else that you like as all
dishes are of French cuisine.

Constantia Martyrs: An authentic Italian place in the heart of Montmartre
in which, we could say that, we tried one of the best pizzas. We didn’t expect at
all to eat such a well prepared pizza in wooden-oven in Paris and not in some
Italian city. We discovered it completely randomly as we were walking and we
highly recommend it. Don’t forget to accompany the pizza with a glass of French
or Italian wine. You have the choice of both.

La Pause Libanaise: In a country with many Arab immigrants as France is, you have the
choice for many and different cuisines. One of them is the Lebanese cuisine. The
La Pause Libanaise is the perfect place to taste this cuisine. We came across
with it randomaly after choosing the wrong bus and we tried very delicious
dishes in very good prices. The owner and the staff were all Lebanese, which
facilitated our order quite a lot as they understood at once what we wanted
exactly, a variety with as many tastes as possible. If you like these kind of cuisines
or want to have a nice start with it, we wholeheartedly recommend it.

It: In La Defense region, the modern Paris, as the French use to call it,
you ‘ll find an all-day Italian place. It is about the campus of Paris, that’s
why you ‘ll see that is preferred both by students and professors. A quite
tasty and affordable place, which, even if it’s not reminding you of a
traditional trattoria, we recommend to visit it if you find yourself close by.

Galleries&nbsp;Lafayette&nbsp;Le&nbsp;Gourmet:&nbsp;Now we're going to give you a tip that few people know and we discovered it by accident. Coming out of the famous Galleries Lafayette store just around the corner you will find this spot that looks like a department store but is like a food market. There you will find shops, one next to the other, with various flavours, both savoury and sweet, of French cuisine. The prices are not prohibitive and the variety is huge. Try anything you fancy!

Le 17.45 Pigalle: A wine bar with many French choices both in wines and
charcuterie and cheeses. It was suggested by a local and despite the fact that
it is about a franchise place, it is of good quality. As it is implied by its
name, you will find a variety that they also suggest and costs 17,45€. We would
say that it’s a “must” choice for anyone that might visit Paris and is a lover
of such an experience.

Ma Cave Fleury: Is it even possible to be in Paris and not taste the
authentic French champagne? The answer is “No” from us, that’s why we suggest
you this beautiful cellar with its own champagnes and not only those. It’s a
please that got us excited since when we discovered it in google and its value
was definitely confirmed after our tasting. You’ll find champagnes for every
taste in very affordable prices for such a local product.

Laduree: After a lot of searching we ended it up to the oldest
and most famous bakery (patisserie) of Paris to try the macarons, that begun to
be made in this place in 1862. Despite the fact that we’re not lovers of this
particular dessert, we definitely tasted it. Their way of making is different from
the one that we have been used to and you can find them in many tastes. It
wasn’t something that drove us crazy, not because they weren’t tasty, but
because everything depends on everyone’s taste.

Saveurs &amp; Gourmandises: It’s the bakery of the neighborhood we were staying
at. We tried so many and traditional desserts, salty products and baguettes
every day that it is of outmost necessity to recommend it to you. We were staying
at Cassan region, 7km away from Paris and we were visiting it every morning
before we board the train. What we want to recommend you in this situation
isn’t this particular place itself, which was very good, but the general
mindset of searching more traditional bakeries in order to try everything you want.
In this way, you’ll try many French baked viands and desserts, always fresh and
in more affordable prices from the cafés.

At this point we should say that the French baguette,
crepe with Nutella and fresh crunchy croissant should be your daily breakfast.
Think that you won’t have many days to enjoy all the above made by the French
the way only they know. You will not start a diet in Paris, begin from Monday
on.

And due to the fact that our search in regard to food
and coffee was quite extensive before the trip, bellow, we recommend you some
additional places that we distinguished among others and we would also try if
we had the time to do it.

As you have already
understood Paris is a gastronomic heaven. The only thing we recommend you is to
relax and let yourself loose with the tastes without listening to those who say
that you will not eat well in Paris. Many and different places for all tastes
and pockets are waiting for you to try them. There are so many that you might
need to choose in which ones you want to go at the end. The rest of them you
can leave them for you next visit in Paris, which is definitely certain that
will take place!
